By accessing or using GentlePaws.pet, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, you may not use the website or directory.

2. Description of Service

GentlePaws.pet operates a nationwide online directory where independent pet sitters may publish a public profile. Pet owners browse the directory at no cost and contact sitters directly. GentlePaws.pet sells directory listings only and does not broker bookings, verify sitter qualifications, or participate in any sitter owner transactions.

3. User Accounts

To create a sitter listing, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate, truthful information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Generated Content

Sitters may upload photos, descriptions, and service information. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have rights to the content
• The content does not infringe on any third party rights
• The content is truthful and lawful

You grant GentlePaws.pet a non exclusive license to display your content on the directory.

We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, or violates these Terms.

5. Directory Use

Pet owners may browse listings at no cost. GentlePaws.pet does not:

• Screen or verify sitters
• Guarantee sitter quality or safety
• Participate in scheduling or payment
• Accept responsibility for sitter owner interactions

Pet owners must conduct their own due diligence before hiring a sitter.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Misrepresent your identity or services
• Upload harmful, illegal, or infringing content
• Attempt to access accounts or systems without authorization
• Use the directory for spam, solicitation, or unrelated advertising
• Interfere with website functionality or security

7. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, and design elements are owned by Affordable Advertising Solutions LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the website without permission.

8. Third Party Services

Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. GentlePaws.pet does not store card details. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe’s own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

GentlePaws.pet is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• uninterrupted service
• error free functionality
• accuracy of listings
• safety or suitability of sitters

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GentlePaws.pet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or directory.

GentlePaws.pet’s total cumulative liability shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GentlePaws.pet from any claims arising out of:

• your content
• your services
• your interactions with pet owners
• your violation of these Terms

12. Arbitration & Governing Law

All disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Henrico County, Virginia, under AAA rules. Governing law is the Commonwealth of Virginia.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
