1. Overview

GentlePaws.pet operates a nationwide online directory where independent pet sitters may publish a public profile. Pet owners browse the directory at no cost and contact sitters directly. GentlePaws.pet sells directory listings only. We do not broker bookings, verify sitter qualifications, or participate in any transactions between pet owners and sitters.

By creating a directory listing, you agree to this Subscriber Agreement, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

To subscribe, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate, truthful information
• Operate a lawful pet sitting service
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws

3. Directory Listing

Your listing may include your name, business name, phone number, city, state, ZIP code, services offered, and photos you upload. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing and for keeping it updated.

We may remove or suspend listings that contain false or misleading information, violate our policies, infringe on third party rights, or break applicable laws.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Subscription options:

• Monthly: $19.98 per month
• Annual: $198.00 per year

The annual plan includes a 30 day free trial for new subscribers. Switching from monthly to annual does not start a new trial. No payment is taken during the trial. At the end of the trial your annual subscription begins automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.

The monthly plan does not include a free trial. Your first payment is taken at signup and recurs monthly until you cancel.

A valid payment method is required at signup. Billing is processed through Stripe Checkout. GentlePaws.pet does not store card numbers. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your self service account portal.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

The annual plan includes a 30 day free trial for new subscribers. Switching from monthly to annual does not start a new trial. No payment is taken during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends you will not be charged, and no refund is necessary because no payment has been processed.

The monthly plan is charged at signup. You may cancel at any time, and your listing stays live through the month you have already paid for.

Once a payment has been processed it is non refundable. This applies to both the monthly and the annual plan.

You may cancel at any time through your self service account portal. Upon cancellation, your listing remains active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, unless you request immediate removal.

6. No Screening, Verification, or Endorsement

GentlePaws.pet does not:

• Conduct background checks
• Verify insurance, licenses, or qualifications
• Endorse or certify any sitter
• Guarantee safety, reliability, or suitability

Pet owners are solely responsible for evaluating sitters and conducting their own due diligence. Sitters are solely responsible for their conduct, services, and interactions with pet owners.

7. Subscriber Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide truthful, accurate information
• Maintain any required business licenses or insurance
• Comply with all laws governing pet care and business operations
• Interact professionally with pet owners
• Avoid misuse of the directory or contacting pet owners for unrelated solicitations

8. Intellectual Property

You grant GentlePaws.pet a non exclusive license to display your listing content, including photos, on the directory. You represent that you have rights to all materials you upload.

9. Hold Harmless & Indemnification

You agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Affordable Advertising Solutions LLC dba GentlePaws.pet, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

• your listing, content, photos, or representations;
• your pet sitting services, conduct, or interactions with pet owners;
• property damage, personal injury, or pet injury occurring during services you provide;
• your violation of any law, regulation, or third party rights;
• your breach of this Agreement.

This obligation survives termination of your subscription and removal of your listing.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GentlePaws.pet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, personal injury, property damage, or reputational harm arising from or related to your use of the directory.

GentlePaws.pet’s total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount of subscription fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Arbitration Agreement

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement, your subscription, your listing, or your use of the directory shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration.

Arbitration shall be conducted in Henrico County, Virginia, before a single arbitrator, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

You and GentlePaws.pet waive the right to a trial by jury and to participate in any class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.

Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs unless otherwise required by law.

12. Governing Law & Venue

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any permitted court proceedings (such as confirming an arbitration award) shall occur exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Henrico County, Virginia.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your listing for violations of this Agreement, misuse of the platform, or unlawful activity. You may request removal of your listing at any time.

14. Changes

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the directory constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Directory Disclaimer

GentlePaws.pet is a paid directory of independent pet sitters. We do not screen, verify, or endorse any sitter listed on this website. Sitters are not employees, contractors, or agents of GentlePaws.pet. We do not perform background checks, confirm insurance, validate qualifications, or guarantee the safety or suitability of any sitter. Pet owners are solely responsible for evaluating sitters, conducting their own due diligence, and making hiring decisions. All interactions, services, and agreements between sitters and pet owners occur independently of GentlePaws.pet.
