At GentlePaws.pet, we believe every pet deserves gentle, personalized care. Whether your pet needs a quick visit during the day, overnight companionship in their own home, or a cozy boarding experience, Rose provides attentive care tailored to your pet's routine and needs.
Every relationship starts with a free meet-and-greet, so you know exactly who you're welcoming into your pet's routine before anything is booked.
These services and prices are for Rose's local pet sitting clients in the Richmond area. Pet sitters who subscribe to the GentlePaws.pet directory are covered by the Subscriber Agreement instead.
Drop-In Visits

Ideal for multiple pets, puppies, senior pets, or pets who need additional attention and companionship.
Each visit includes:
- Bathroom break
- Fresh water and feeding
- Walk, playtime, or yard time
- Medication, if needed
- Quick pet-related clean-up
- Photos and updates

Availability: 7 days a week
Overnight Pet Sitting
Personalized overnight care in the comfort of your pet's own home. Rose stays overnight so your pet can remain in familiar surroundings, maintain their normal routine, and receive plenty of love and attention while you're away.

Other small pets may be accommodated for an additional fee based on their care requirements. Ask Rose at the meet-and-greet.
Overnight care includes:

Overnight window: approximately 8 to 12 hours
Important: overnight care is not continuous 24-hour supervision. If your pets need daytime companionship, additional walks, or drop-in visits, those can be arranged separately.
Boarding — In Rose's Home
$45per night, 1 dog
For pets who enjoy companionship and a home-like environment, boarding with Rose provides a cozy alternative to a traditional kennel. Your pet stays in Rose's home alongside her three friendly senior pugs.
Boarding includes:
- Safe, supervised home environment
- Walks or yard time
- Feeding and fresh water
- Medication, if needed
- Daily photos and updates
- Cozy sleeping arrangements
- Individual attention and affection
Boarding two or more dogs: please call Rose. The rate depends on the dogs and on which other pets are already booked for those dates.
Boarding is for dogs only. Rose does not board cats or other small pets in her home.
Because Rose's home includes three senior pugs, every boarding pet must complete a meet-and-greet before a reservation can be confirmed. Boarding suits pets who are comfortable around other dogs and can settle into a home environment.
Special Care and Medication
Every pet is different, and some need a little extra care. Routine oral medication is included when clear instructions are provided.
Additional fees may apply for:
- Complex medication routines
- Injections or specialized medical care
- Mobility assistance
- Frequent bathroom assistance
- Extensive special-needs care
Special-care fees start at $10 per day, depending on the level of care required. All special-care arrangements are discussed before booking.
Holiday and Peak-Period Pricing
Holiday and peak travel periods are in particularly high demand. A $15 per night holiday surcharge may apply to boarding during major holidays and peak periods, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and other major holiday weekends. The surcharge applies to boarding only — drop-in visits and overnight stays are not subject to it.
Any applicable surcharge is disclosed before your reservation is confirmed.
Service Area
Rose currently serves Glen Allen, Short Pump, Richmond, Henrico County, and nearby surrounding areas.
Standard pricing applies within the primary service area. A travel fee may apply for locations outside it, and will be discussed before booking.
